How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Wordt het blauw koud in een hal op het noorden?

Het blijft stoffig in plaats van ijzig. Het blauw hier heeft grijs in zich, en de zandkleurige band langs de onderkant verwarmt het geheel van onderen, dus in vlak noordelijk licht oogt het zacht in plaats van kil. Combineer het met warmwitte muren en een juten of wollen loper, en de hal voelt rustig aan, niet koel. Fel blauw-witte verf ernaast is het enige wat je beter kunt vermijden.

Hoe groot moet ik gaan op een trapmuur?

Ga groter dan comfortabel voelt. Op een trapmuur zie je het werk vanaf beneden en vanaf het bordes, dus een formaat van 50 cm bij 100 cm of groter houdt zich goed op die afstanden. Het hoge formaat is juist de bedoeling, en op kleinere maten wordt de vogel meer een detail dan de reden waarom de muur werkt. Laat boven en onder genoeg vrije muur over.

Past dit alleen bij een kuststijl thuis?

Nee. Het palet is blauw, grijs en zand, dus het past net zo makkelijk in een Scandinavische of strak moderne ruimte als in een huis aan zee. Er zijn geen schelpen, bootjes of touw om het te verankeren aan een stijl. In een slaapkamer met linnen beddengoed en licht hout oogt het als een rustige geschilderde vogel, en het kustgevoel is er alleen als je het zelf zo wilt zien.
