How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Voelen de grijstinten niet koud aan in een kamer op het noorden?

De grijstinten worden hier verwarmd door zandbeige en gebroken wit, waardoor het meestal zacht oogt in plaats van koel, zelfs in minder licht. Als je kamer al erg blauwgrijs is, zal hij rustig en ton-sur-ton aanvoelen; combineer met linnen, licht hout of crème textiel om de warmte in de ruimte te houden.

Is het bootje groot genoeg om op de muur op te vallen?

Ja — het is klein, maar het enige scherpe focuspunt in het werk, waardoor je oog het makkelijk vindt, ook van verder weg. Op een middelgroot formaat lees je het duidelijk boven een bed of console; als je groter gaat voor een statement, wordt de negatieve ruimte rond het bootje juist onderdeel van de rust in plaats van leeg te voelen.

Werkt dit ook zonder andere kustwerken erbij?

Ja — het houdt prima een muur op zichzelf en heeft geen kustthema eromheen nodig om te kloppen.
