Over dit kunstwerk
Een kamer wordt stiller wanneer zachtroze zo zelfverzekerd is. Twee meisjes lopen hand in hand langs de kust, los geschilderd tegen een achtergrond van gewassen blauw, lichtgroen en roomwit.
De ruimte voelt lichter zodra hij hangt. De roze en rode jurken geven een subtiel warm kleuraccent, terwijl de rest van het schilderij de rust bewaart — fijn voor slaapkamers en babykamers die al zacht zijn ingericht.
Hang hem het mooist boven een lage ladekast, een kinderbed of op een stille wand in de hal waar je één warm accent wilt. Ooghoogte is prima; iets lager werkt ook als hij boven meubels hangt.
Combineer met witgebeitst of licht hout, linnen beddengoed in room of zachtroze, rotan manden, een juten kleed en steengoed in zand- of offwhite-tinten. Een lijst van licht eiken of in het wit houdt het geheel zacht.
Combineer niet met andere uitgesproken figuratieve werken of diepe, verzadigde kleuren — dit werk heeft ruimte nodig om te ademen. Gedrukt op dik fine art-papier met rijke, natuurgetrouwe kleuren.

How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
How big are the figures in the painting?
The two girls sit central but small — they take up roughly the middle third of the image, with a lot of soft beach and sky around them. That's why the piece reads calm rather than busy, and why a medium size works in most rooms without dominating the wall.
Will the soft pink read as too sweet for an older child's room?
The pink is balanced by the cooler washed blue and pale green around it, so it doesn't tip into nursery-sweet on its own. In a room with whitewashed timber, linen and a few warm wood pieces, it reads as a calm painting first and a pink one second — fine for older children too.
Does it work as a single piece or do I need a pair?
It works well on its own as a quiet centrepiece above a bed or low dresser. If you want company, keep it to one or two smaller, calmer pieces in the same washed pastel range — a small shell study or a pale abstract — rather than another strong figurative.
