    Elke woning heeft zo’n smalle strook muur bij de voordeur en trap: te smal voor een spiegel, te hoog om leeg te laten. Deze canvas is gemaakt voor precies die plek. De zwarte lijn van de straatlantaarn loopt over de volle hoogte en maakt van een reststuk muur een bewuste keuze. De bijna off‑white achtergrond gaat op in een kalkachtige wand, waardoor het zwart het woord doet en het zachte roze subtiel op de achtergrond blijft. Hang hem iets lager dan je gewend bent, met de onderrand ongeveer ter hoogte van de trappaal, en laat de plafondhoogte de rest doen. Kapstokhaken komen aan de andere kant; verder hoeft er niets bij. Op een overloop werkt dezelfde regel: één hoog werk met voldoende lege ruimte eromheen. Gespannen op canvas hangt het strak zonder lijst, ideaal voor een smalle muur.

    Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

    When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

    Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

    Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

    You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    Voelt de zwarte zijkant zwaar in een kleine hal?

    Minder dan je zou verwachten. Ongeveer drie kwart van het werk is gebroken wit, dus op een warmwitte muur leest het grootste deel als muur. Het zwart zit langs één rand en werkt meer als een hoge donkere deurpost dan als een donker schilderij. Hang het met de zwarte rand het dichtst bij de trap of een deuropening en het oog accepteert het als onderdeel van de architectuur.

    Hoe groot moet ik gaan op een trapbordes?

    Kies hoog in plaats van voorzichtig. Op een bordes staat de kijker meestal twee of drie meter weg en kijkt omhoog, dus alles onder ongeveer 80 cm hoog verliest het detail van de lantaarnpaal en krimpt tot een donkere strook. Een werk van 100 cm of hoger vult de muur goed, en de smalle breedte laat nog steeds ruimte voor de leuning en de draai van de trap.

    Komt het roze echt naar voren, of leest het als beige?

    Van een afstand leest het als een warme papiertint die dicht bij beige ligt. Van dichtbij, in goed daglicht, is het blush duidelijk zichtbaar in de toren en de strook langs de linkerrand. Wil je dat het roze opvalt, zet er dan één blush linnen kussen of een lichtroze plaid naast en het oog vindt het. Tegen een koele grijze muur oogt het warmer en duidelijker roze.
