    Februari is wanneer dit werk zijn waarde bewijst. De tuin is bruin, de gang is om vier uur al donker, en een hoge baan van marineblauw en oranje velden aan de muur doet wat het raam niet meer kan. Hang het aan het einde van een smalle gang op een lichte stucrand: de rijen trekken je blik de lengte in, zoals een landweg je door een dal leidt. Het staat prachtig boven warme houten vloerdelen. Combineer met een eenvoudige bank; geen patronen in de buurt. Het diepe blauw blijft sterk in de schemer, en het oranje voelt onder één hanglamp nog steeds warm. Hier telt hoogte meer dan breedte. Op een meter hoog is het geen plaatje meer maar een uitzicht. In juni wil je het nog steeds. In februari heb je het nodig. Op canvas liggen de marineblauwe rijen als verf op de muur, zonder glas tussen jou en de velden.

    Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

    When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

    Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

    Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

    You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    Gaan de oranje velden botsen met een navy bank?
    Nee, juist die combinatie is het idee. De print heeft zelf al navy in de diepste voren, dus een navy bank voelt als een match en niet als een tegenstander. Het oranje wordt dan de enige warme toon in de kamer, en dat is precies wat het moet zijn. Pas als je er ook nog een roestkleurig vloerkleed of oranje stoelen bij zet, kan het schuren. Houd de warme kleur verder bij de print en één kussen.

    Hoe hoog moet ik gaan op een trapwand?
    Ga groter dan je gevoel zegt. Op een trapwand zie je de print van onderaf en schuin, en de kleine gestreepte velden hebben hoogte nodig om als landschap te lezen in plaats van als structuur. Een meter hoog is de ideale maat voor een standaard overloop, en hij moet zo hangen dat het midden op ooghoogte zit vanaf de tussenverdieping, niet vanaf de onderste trede.

    Is dit niet te druk voor een kleine hal?
    Een kleine hal is juist waar dit het best werkt, zolang het het enige aan de muur is. De strakke kleurbanen geven een korte gang een gevoel van lengte, en de lichte band bovenin voorkomt dat het zwaar oogt. Houd de omliggende muur rustig en licht, laat de vloer eronder vrij, en de drukte verandert in diepte in plaats van rommel.
