Veel kamers bieden geen uitzicht: vier muren, één raam, alles binnen drie meter. Deze hoge moerasstrook doorbreekt dat. De kreek begint aan je voeten en voert je blik naar een rij bomen onder een zware lucht – zo krijgt een vlakke halwand ineens kilometers diepte. Hang hem bovenaan de trap, waar je hem frontaal ontmoet tijdens het omhooglopen. Roesttinten in het gras combineren mooi met krijtwit en nog beter met gedempt saliegroen. Houd het houtwerk eenvoudig: een geschilderde leuning of een blankhouten bankje, niets glanzends. Geef het werk ruimte om lang te zijn. Onder 90 cm hoogte verliest de kreek zijn richting en wordt de reiger slechts een witte vlek in de hoek. Op canvas leest de penseeltoets in het gras als verf, en het doek hangt zonder glas dat het invallende licht vangt.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Maakt de donkere lucht een smalle hal donkerder?
Minder dan je zou verwachten. De onderste twee derde heeft warme roest-, goud- en crèmetinten, en die staan op ooghoogte waar je echt kijkt. De donkere strook wolken zit bovenaan, boven de zichtlijn, waar het als diepte leest in plaats van somberheid. Combineer het met een gebroken witte of saliekleurige muur en zelfs een hal met één raam voelt nog licht.
Hoe groot moet het zijn op een trapwand?
Reken op minstens 100 cm hoog. De beek werkt op afstand, en op een bordes kijk je er vanaf onderaan de trap naar, vaak drie of vier meter verderop. Op die afstand verliest een versie van 60 cm de vogel en wordt het een bruine streep. Ga zo hoog mogelijk binnen de muur en laat aan beide kanten een duidelijke rand van effen verf vrij.
Botst het roest in de grassen met een groene muur?
Roest en groen liggen tegenover elkaar op de kleurencirkel, dus ze versterken elkaar juist in plaats van te botsen. Een stoffige salie- of olijfkleurige muur laat de grassen warmer lijken en de beek koeler, en dat is precies wat je wilt. Fel grasgroen of mint kun je beter vermijden, want dat vecht met de gedempte tinten en maakt het geheel flets.
