    Veel eethoeken missen een glimlach. De tafel klopt, de stoelen passen, maar die lange lege wand achter de bank blijft lastig. Geef ’m de school sardines. Laag boven een bank of langs een rij keukenkastjes komt het marineblauw fris uit tegen witte tegels, terwijl het koraal de rode accenten in de ruimte oppakt – van een ovenschaal tot theedoek of streep op een kussen. Breedte is hier key: rond één meter zwemmen de vissen de lengte van de wand en voelt de kamer eindelijk af. Houd het eronder rustig: licht hout, witte borden, één schaal citroenen. De rest mag stil blijven – de vissen voeren het gesprek al. Opgespannen op canvas leest de gebroken witte ondergrond als één strak vlak, waardoor een lange muur krachtig wordt gevuld, zelfs zonder lijst.

    Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

    When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

    Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

    Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

    You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    Wordt het marineblauw niet te zwaar in een kleine witte keuken?

    Nee, want het marineblauw is maar een dunne lijn langs elke vis en het grootste deel van het beeld is gebroken wit. In een kleine keuken oogt het als één donkere streek over de muur in plaats van een blok kleur. Houd de muur licht en de keukenkasten helder, en het maakt de ruimte scherper in plaats van kleiner. Donkergrijze of groene kasten zijn waar het begint te verdwijnen.

    Hoe breed moet ik gaan boven een eetbank?

    Richt op twee derde van de lengte van de bank. Voor een standaard bank van 150 cm is dat ongeveer 100 cm breed, opgehangen een handbreedte boven de rugkussens. Kleiner dan dat worden de vissen een rij kleine vormen waar je naar moet turen. Boven een tweezitssofa werkt dezelfde breedte, en boven een kingsize bed kun je naar 120 cm of meer gaan.

    Werkt dit in een badkamer zonder dat het te veel een zee-thema wordt?

    Ja, zolang de rest van de ruimte rustig blijft. De vlakke folkstijl en het marineblauw houden het dichter bij een Scandinavische keuken dan bij een strandhuisje. Hang het boven het bad of langs de muur boven de handdoekradiator, houd de tegels wit en laat touw, schelpen en ankers weg. De koraalkleurige koppen staan mooi naast één rode handdoek en verder niets.
