Koel grijs hoeft een ruimte niet kil te maken. In dit werk zorgt het contrast met de feloranje hesjes juist voor warmte – ideaal voor een gang of overloop zonder zonlicht. Hang deze canvas aan een lange wand met licht stucwerk: het grijs sluit mooi aan op de muur, terwijl het oranje de ruimte optilt. Terracotta vloertegels versterken het effect, net als een wollen loper in roesttint. Houd omliggende verf liever kalkmat dan warm wit, anders oogt de sneeuw gelig. Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Botst het oranje met een grijze hal?
Nee, juist niet. Het oranje zit in het werk tegen een koele grijze achtergrond, dus een grijze muur eromheen laat aanvoelen als hetzelfde weer dat naar buiten doorloopt. Het botst alleen als de muur warm crème of geel is, waardoor de sneeuw er grauw uitziet. Blijf bij krijtgrijs, gebroken wit of licht blauwgrijs en laat het oranje één keer terugkomen in een loper of deurmat.
Hoe hoog moet ik gaan aan een trapwand?
Ga groter dan je instinct zegt. Op een trap kijk je het werk van onderen en van een afstand, en de figuren vullen maar het onderste derde deel, dus ze hebben hoogte nodig om als mensen te lezen. Rond 90 tot 120 cm hoog is de sweet spot voor een overloopmuur, met het midden van het werk op ooghoogte vanaf het halve bordes in plaats van vanaf de onderste trede.
Is een stadswerkscène niet te druk voor een kleine ruimte?
Het drukste deel zit onderaan, en de bovenste helft is vooral rustige grijze lucht en kale takken. In een smalle gang werkt dat in je voordeel, omdat het kalme bovenste gedeelte op ooghoogte zit terwijl het detail lager wacht voor wie even stilstaat. Houd de rest van de muur leeg en de ruimte voelt hoger, niet voller.
