Veel hoge wanden voelen kil aan: overloop, haluiteinde of de strook tussen twee ramen krijgt vaak half zoveel licht en oogt al om drie uur grijs. Hang deze canvas daar en het goud doet wat een lamp zou doen. De amberkleurige gloed in het midden brengt warmte in de ruimte, terwijl pauwblauw en lavendel aan de randen voorkomen dat het te oranje wordt. Tegen een muur in gipsroze of warm gebroken wit komen de blauwtinten tot leven. Donker marineblauw laat juist het goud opvlammen. Donker gebeitste treden of een walnoten leuning pakken de bruine boomstammen op en verbinden het geheel met het houtwerk. Houd het formaat hoog: rond één meter komt de zon precies op hoofdniveau wanneer je de trap op loopt – dat is het hele idee. Op canvas loopt de gloed tot aan de rand, zonder onderbreking.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Wordt het gouden midden oranje op een warme witte muur?
Op een warm wit leest het als zonlicht in plaats van oranje, omdat de blauwe en groene cirkels aan de randen het in balans brengen. Het risico is een perzik- of abrikooskleurige muur, die het hele werk naar dezelfde tint trekt en de gloed afvlakt. Koelere gebroken witten, middengrijzen en diep marineblauw laten het midden het helderst lijken, en marineblauw laat het eruitzien alsof het van achteren verlicht is.
Hoe hoog moet ik gaan op een trapwand?
Kies op een trap minstens een meter hoog. De 1:2-verhouding volgt de lijn van de trap, en de lichte zon moet ongeveer op ooghoogte vallen van iemand die op het bordes staat. Centreer hem op de muur die je ziet als je omhoog loopt, niet op de muur langs je heen, zodat de stammen recht blijven voor het oog en de gloed je bovenaan begroet.
Lees je dit van veraf als bomen of alleen als stippen?
Vanuit de kamer oogt het als een bos met lage zon erachter, en de cirkels vloeien samen tot blad en licht. Kom je dichterbij, dan neemt het patroon het over en laat elke cirkel zijn eigen kleurkringen zien. Juist die overgang maakt het ideaal voor een plek waar mensen dichtbij langskomen, zoals een hal of bordes, in plaats van ver weg in een open ruimte.
