Over dit kunstwerk
Open de gordijnen halverwege de ochtend; het gedempte mauve zorgt voor de spanning. De kamer verstilt, het rumoer zakt weg en het oog volgt de roomkleurige ranken langs de rand.
Wat verandert, is de temperatuur van de muur. Een vlak geverfde wand voelt ineens doordacht: zachter van warmte en met een ingetogenheid die er eerder niet was.
Hang hem aan een rustige muur — boven een lage ladekast in de slaapkamer, naast een leesstoel of in een gang waar je liever een pauze wilt dan een statement.
Combineer met licht eiken, linnen beddengoed, zacht crèmekleurig keramiek en geborsteld messing. Een stoffig roze of warm gebroken witte wand laat het mauve naar voren komen zonder ermee te concurreren.
Zet het niet vol met felle bloemmotieven of druk patroonbehang — de poster heeft ruimte nodig om te ademen. In een eiken lijst met royale passe-partout komt hij prachtig tot zijn recht.

How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the dusty mauve feel too pink in a bedroom?
It reads more dusty than rosy in person — closer to a soft warm grey-pink than a true pink. It sits well against chalky off-white, warm cream, and pale oak. If your room runs cool blue or stark white, the mauve will feel a little warmer than expected, which is usually a help rather than a problem.
There's some Japanese writing on the print — what is it?
It's a small block of Japanese calligraphy along the lower left, typical of woodblock plates from this period. It's part of the original composition and sits as a quiet detail rather than a focal point. It's not translated on the print itself.
Does the composition feel unbalanced with all the vines on one side?
The vines run mainly down the right edge and across the bottom, leaving a generous open ground on the left. That negative space is the point — it's what gives the print its calm. Hang it centred above furniture and the asymmetry reads as deliberate rather than off.
