How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Can you tell it's a Border Collie from the back?
Yes. The shape of the ears, the fluffy ruff at the neck, the long feathered tail and the black-and-white markings are all unmistakable. It reads clearly as a Border Collie even though the dog is facing away, which is part of why the piece feels affectionate rather than posed.
Will the watercolour look washed out on a white wall?
No. The blacks are properly inky and there is real contrast against the cream and warm brown patches, so it holds its own on white plaster or painted walls. If anything, a clean pale wall is the ideal backdrop — it lets the loose brushwork breathe without competing.
Is the subject too sad for a living room?
It is quiet rather than sad. The dog is sitting, waiting, watching — a familiar pose for any collie owner. Most people read it as loyal and calm, not melancholy, especially with warm lighting and softer furnishings nearby.
