How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the strong yellow clash with a cool grey or blue room?
It can. The yellow is warm and saturated, so a room running cool grey or pale blue will end up fighting it rather than framing it. It reads best on chalky off-white, soft cream or warm neutral walls, ideally with some warm wood or brass already in the room.
Is the night sky actually black, or is it blue?
It's blue — deep blue with hints of green. Van Gogh deliberately avoided black on this painting, which is why the sky still glows rather than going flat. On the print you'll see the brushwork in the sky clearly, especially at larger sizes.
Does it work above a dining table, or is it too much?
It works well above a dining sideboard or on the long wall of a dining room, particularly with candlelight or a warm pendant. It can be a lot directly above the table itself if the ceiling is low — give it some breathing room and let the lamplight in the picture do the work.
