How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Why is the dog painted from behind rather than face-on?
It's the quietly clever bit. A back view feels like a real moment with a dog you know — tail mid-swish, ears soft — rather than a posed studio portrait. It also keeps the piece restful on the wall, so it adds warmth and personality without staring back at the room.
Will the russet colour clash with cool grey or blue walls?
It can fight a strong cool blue or icy grey backdrop because the coat is genuinely warm. It sits much more naturally on off-white, cream, soft clay, warm beige or pale green walls. If your walls are cool, balance it with warm wood furniture and a cream mount inside the frame.
Does it look like a cocker spaniel specifically, or any long-haired dog?
The long, feathered coat, the body shape and the soft ears read clearly as a cocker spaniel from behind, particularly an English-style working or show cocker. Owners of springer spaniels, cockapoos and other long-haired spaniel mixes also tend to recognise their own dog in it.
