How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the mood too dark for a small room?
Not really. The palette is dusky rather than truly black, with soft pink and mint-green lifting it. In a small study or hallway it actually deepens the room rather than shrinking it, especially against a painted wall in deep green, oxblood or dusky pink.
Will this work in a dining room without feeling odd at dinner?
Yes, as long as the room leans dressed-up. The painterly brushwork and slight humour keep it warm rather than stern. Hang it above a sideboard or bar cabinet rather than directly behind a diner's head, and it reads as a witty host rather than a watchful guest.
What wall colour suits it best?
Deep green, oxblood, inky blue, dusky pink or a warm off-white all work. Avoid stark bright white — it flattens the dusky tones. A painted or plaster wall with a little depth lets the soft brushwork and warm tan of the dog's coat come forward.
