How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Are the Japanese characters down the side part of the print, or added later?
They're part of the original image. The text is from Taguchi Tomoki's pattern book and identifies the motif and its use as an embroidery reference. It reads as quiet vertical detail rather than a distracting caption.
Will the teal and mustard look right against a cream or off-white wall?
Yes — the cream ground of the print is close to a warm off-white wall, so the print sits gently rather than floating. The teal body and mustard feathers do the work as accents, and pale oak or rattan nearby pulls it all together.
Is the cream background a true off-white or more yellow?
It's a warm, slightly yellowed cream — closer to old paper than bright white. It reads as soft and aged, which is why it works in calm, lived-in rooms rather than sharp, cool modern schemes with very white walls.
