    Wanneer het warme middaglicht verschuift, krijgt de keuken leven. In deze poster trekken Bonnards boterzachte peren en de ossenbloedrode mand de blik naar de tafel; snijplank, fruitschaal en half opgedronken koffie horen er vanzelf bij. Hang hem boven een dressoir, bij de ontbijthoek of aan een smalle gang waar je even pauzeert op weg naar de keuken. Combineert mooi met linnen, steengoed, eikenhout en de kalkachtige pleistertinten waarin Bonnard zelf werkte. Vermijd felle grafische prints of glanzende moderne fotografie ernaast; het penseelwerk komt het best tot zijn recht met rustige buren. Gedrukt op zwaar fine art-papier voor diepte in de kalkachtige achtergrondtinten.

    How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Will the dark basket and shadow under the table feel heavy in a small kitchen?

    No — the chalky pink-grey background takes up most of the canvas, so the eye reads the piece as light overall. The oxblood basket and espresso shadow give it a centre of gravity rather than weight. In a small kitchen, hang it above a sideboard or breakfast bench with a hand's-breadth of bare wall above and below, and it will feel anchoring, not closing-in.

    Does the loose brushwork still read clearly at a distance, or do you need to stand close?

    It works at both distances. From across the room the basket, two yellow pears and red apple read instantly as a still life. Closer in, the broken brushstrokes and chalky underpainting come forward and the piece rewards a longer look — which is why it suits places you pass slowly, like a hallway or dining wall.

    Will the buttery yellows and oxblood clash with sage green or olive cabinetry?

    They sit beautifully together — sage and olive are exactly the dusty Nabi-era greens already in the basket's leaves, and ochre-yellow is a classic English-country partner for muted green. Avoid pairing it with cool mint or bright lime greens, which will fight the warm undertones. Warm wood, brass and linen accents reinforce the match.
