How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the blue in the shirt work with a warm cream or clay-painted wall?
Yes, and that's where it looks best. The mid blue is fairly soft rather than electric, and the warm tan background bridges it to cream, oat or clay walls. On a cool grey-blue wall the two blues can start competing, so keep the wall warm or plain white and let the stripes stand out on their own.
Does it look odd if the shirt is cut off at the bottom?
No, it's meant to be. The figure is cropped at the chest so the shirt fills the lower half like a block of pattern. That's what makes it hold a tall wall. Hang it at eye level so the face falls around 145-150cm from the floor and the crop reads as deliberate rather than accidental.
Can I hang it as a pair with another portrait?
Yes, if the second one is calmer. Two strong faces at the same scale can feel like a stand-off. Pair it with a simple line-drawn figure or a quiet sketch in cream and black, keep both the same size, and leave about 8-10cm between them so each still has breathing room.
