    Kies eerst de lijst, daarna de muur. In zwart worden de inktlijnen scherper en krijgt het geheel een grafische uitstraling – perfect voor een keuken met witte tegels en een stalen spatrand. Kies je voor bruin, dan oogt het als een vondst: precies het soort print dat je boven een geschuurde grenen tafel in een boerderij verwacht. Wit doet het minst, en soms is dat juist de bedoeling. Op een crèmekleurige muur gaat de lijst bijna op in het stucwerk en laat je de kreeft het werk doen. Onze favoriet is zwart. Hang hem lang en laag boven een dressoir in de eetkamer, iets lager dan voelt alsof het ‘hoort’, zodat hij precies in de ooglijn van iedereen aan tafel hangt. De crème achtergrond krijgt warmte bij kaarslicht. Geen andere decoratie op die muur. Welke kleur je ook kiest: de lijst van massief hout wordt geleverd met glas en ophanghardware, klaar om zo op te hangen.

    How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Voelt zwart en crème niet te hard in een warme keuken?
    Nee, de crème ondergrond doet het meeste werk en leest als warm papier in plaats van wit. In een keuken met eiken of grenen geeft de zwarte inkt het hout iets om tegen af te steken, en de hele muur oogt doelbewuster. De ene plek waar het koel kan voelen is tegen glanzende, spierwitte kasten; daar verzacht een bruine lijst het geheel.

    Hoe breed moet het zijn boven een sideboard of eettafel?
    Richt op ongeveer twee derde van de breedte van het meubel, wat voor de meeste sideboards neerkomt op 100 cm tot 120 cm breed. De 2:1-verhouding is laag, dus je kunt hem dichter bij het meubel hangen dan normaal, ongeveer anderhalve handbreedte boven de bovenkant. Kleiner dan 80 cm breed en het bestek links en rechts wordt decor in plaats van een tafelschikking.

    Werkt het ook ergens anders dan in een eetkamer of keuken?
    Ja, zolang de muur breed is. Boven een bank leest het als droge humor in plaats van als menu, en in een lange hal vult het de ruimte die normaal een landschapsbeeld inneemt. Het heeft wel een warme muurkleur of warm licht nodig om te voorkomen dat de crème grauw wordt, dus een noordelijke hal met witte muren is de ene plek die je beter vermijdt.
