    Oesters horen bij de maanden met een r – en deze poster ook. Vanaf september komt de keuken weer tot leven, wordt de tafel goed gedekt en smaakt iets kouds en zouts precies goed. Hang dit werk naast de eettafel en de ruimte voelt als een fijne bistro voordat de eerste gasten binnenkomen. De inkt is diepzwart. Tegen witte metrotegels of een marmeren werkblad blijft het beeld strak, terwijl de crème achtergrond het onder warm avondlicht vriendelijk houdt. In december komt het werk het best tot zijn recht: tafel gedekt, citroenen klaar, buiten al vroeg donker. In de zomer blijft het gewoon hangen – niemand die daar moeite mee heeft. Geprint op premium fine-art papier, desgewenst afgewerkt met een zwart houten lijst van echt hout.

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Gaat zwart-witte kunst er koud uitzien in mijn keuken?
    Niet bij deze. De achtergrond is crème in plaats van puur wit, dus onder warme lampen oogt hij meer als oud papier dan als een fotokopie. Het zwart is dicht en mat, wat mooi werkt bij witte tegels, marmer of een geschilderde houten tafel. Houd de muurkleur licht of donkergroen en de tekening maakt de hoek juist warmer in plaats van koeler.

    Welke maat moet ik boven een eettafel hangen?
    Voor een tafel waar vier tot zes personen aan zitten, kies je middelgroot, ongeveer 50 tot 70 cm vierkant, opgehangen zodat het midden net boven de hoofden van zittende gasten zit. Aan een kale eetmuur zonder iets anders werkt groter beter en is het bord vanuit de deuropening leesbaar. Kleiner dan 40 cm en het detail in de schelpen gaat verloren vanaf het andere uiteinde van de tafel.

    Werkt dit ook ergens anders dan in een keuken?
    Een eetkamer is de natuurlijke tweede plek, en ook een kleine restaurant- of caféwand past goed. Een thuisbar of een bijkeuken met open planken is ook geschikt. Slaapkamers en woonkamers zijn lastiger, omdat schelpdieren op een bord het liefst hangen waar eten gebeurt. Vind je hem mooi voor de woonkamer, hang hem dan dicht bij de drankwagen.
