How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the London Underground caption part of the artwork or added on top?
It's part of the design — printed underneath the watercolour as a quiet poster-style caption, with the Kew Gardens name in bold, the District Line and station, and the postcode. It reads as a travel poster rather than signage, and the lettering stays in the same dark green as the painting.
Will the deep greens feel heavy in a small room?
Not in most rooms. The off-white background takes up roughly a third of the image and the central sandy path opens the composition up, so it reads as airy rather than dense. In a small hallway or compact kitchen it still feels like a window onto a garden, not a wall of foliage.
Does it work above a console or only as a standalone piece?
Both. The portrait shape and central path suit a console or sideboard well — hung at eye-level it acts as a single anchor. It also works as a solo piece on a narrow hallway wall or between two windows, where there's no furniture below to compete with the composition.
