De zacht grijsblauwe waterpartij combineert prachtig met een kalkmatte, lichtgekleurde muur, waardoor de karper lijkt op te duiken uit het pleisterwerk. Laat de rest rustig: een donker gebeitste leuning, een eenvoudige loper en één lamp op de tussenoverloop zijn genoeg.     All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Maakt de donkere achtergrond mijn hal kleiner?

    Meestal juist het tegenovergestelde. Een lichte gang zonder donker element oogt vlak, en je blik glijdt erlangs zonder te stoppen. Eén hoog donker werk geeft de muur diepte, zoals een raam aan het einde van een gang dat doet. Houd de muren eromheen licht, gebroken wit of zacht grijsblauw, en de vis lijkt in de muur te rusten in plaats van erop.

    Hoe hoog moet ik gaan op een trapwand?

    Groter dan je op de trapvloer misschien logisch vindt. Trapwanden zie je van beneden en van een paar meter afstand, dus iets dat op het bordes groot lijkt, klopt vanaf de onderste trede. Zorg dat het oog van de karper net boven jouw ooghoogte komt als je op het bordes staat, en laat aan elke kant minstens een handbreedte vrije muur.

    Botst het grijsblauw met een warme crème muur?

    In de praktijk niet. Het water is een zacht vergrijsd blauw, verre van een helder hemels kleurvlak, en de vis zelf is warm bijna zwart met bruin in de schubben, dus het werkt net zo goed bij koele als warme muren. Op crème oogt hij wat stemmiger. Op grijsblauw verdwijnt hij bijna in de muur en zie je vooral de vis, en dat vinden sommige mensen juist mooi.
