    How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

    Does it actually read as a border collie from across the room?
    Yes. The solid black head and pricked ears do the work, and the scribbled body settles into a standing dog once you step back a metre or two. Up close it breaks apart into loose ink lines, which is part of the appeal. If you plan to view it from very close only, size up so the shape stays clear.

    Will it look too stark on a white wall?
    It reads as crisp rather than harsh, because roughly two thirds of the image is open white space. On a chalky off-white or soft grey-white wall the edges soften a little. If you want less contrast, keep the surrounding furnishings pale and textured — linen, wool, pale wood — rather than adding more black to the room.

    How much bare wall does it need either side?
    Allow at least 20-25cm of clear wall on both sides. The loose lines spill towards the edges of the composition, so anything crowding in — coat hooks, shelving, another picture — makes it harder to read. On a narrow hallway wall, centre it and leave everything else below waist height.
