    Om detta konstverk

Morning is when this one earns its wall. Early light through a landing window turns the washed blue almost grey, and the room reads cooler and quieter than it did the night before. By mid afternoon the blue deepens to something closer to denim and the white seed head lifts off it. Put it on the narrow strip beside the window rather than opposite it, so the light rakes across instead of bouncing back. Chalky plaster suits it. Off-white linen curtains carry the same softness down to the floor. At dusk, with one lamp on, the ground goes dark and the stem stays. Nothing else should hang on that wall. Give it the full height, hung so the seed head sits just above eye level. On fine-art paper behind a white frame the ground stays matt and the blue keeps its chalkiness.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the blue look cold in a north-facing hallway?

It reads cooler in north light, closer to grey than denim, and that suits a hallway more than it sounds. The white seed head keeps its brightness whatever the light does. Warm the space with the floor and textiles rather than the wall, a pine or oak floor, a coir mat, a wool runner in oatmeal. The blue then sits as a cool note rather than a cold one.

How tall does it need to be to work on a landing wall?

Aim for at least 80cm tall, and go to 100cm or more if the landing has full ceiling height. The stem is most of the picture, and it needs length to feel like it is standing rather than sitting. Hang it so the seed head is a little above eye level for someone standing on the landing, with clear wall below it down towards the skirting.

    Does it suit a bathroom?

Yes, and a bathroom is one of the better rooms for it. The washed blue works with white tile, pale grout and chrome or brushed nickel fittings, and the single motif copes well with a small room where busier art would crowd the space. Choose a wall away from direct shower spray, such as the strip beside the door or above a towel rail, and keep the room otherwise plain.
