    Most cityscape prints behave. This one picks a side. It takes the bright blue of a clear Edinburgh afternoon and runs the whole way down a stepped lane with it. Hang it and a flat hallway suddenly has depth — the steps pull your eye in, the castle holds the top of the wall, and the honey sandstone warms up cool light. It earns its place at eye level on a hallway wall, above a console, or on a study wall where you look up from a desk. Pair it with warm wood, black iron fittings, linen and a little worn leather. Don't crowd it with other busy scenes; one strong view per wall is plenty. On fine-art paper the brushwork and speckled light stay crisp.

    How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    What makes Fab frames so good?

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Will the bright blue sky feel too strong in a neutral room?

    It reads as a clear accent rather than a takeover. The blue sits in the top third, and the rest of the picture is warm stone and green, so it settles happily against off-white, pale grey or warm plaster walls. In a very pale room it gives you one confident point of colour without needing anything else on the wall.

    Is there enough detail to hang it somewhere people stand close?

    Yes. The steps, railings, lamp posts and climbing flowers are all painted with visible brush marks, so it rewards a close look in a hallway or beside a desk. From a couple of metres away you read the castle and the street; up close you start noticing the lavender shadows and speckled sunlight on the paving.

    Does the tall shape work above a sofa or sideboard?

    It can, but it is happiest on a narrower wall. Above a long sofa a single portrait piece needs company to balance the width, so either pair it with a second upright picture or hang it above a console or armchair instead. On a hallway or stairwell wall it works on its own with no extra help.
