How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the warm cream background look dingy on a bright white wall?
It reads as gentle paper rather than dirty white. Against a crisp white wall the cream ground feels softer and warmer, which is part of the charm. If you want more contrast, hang it on a chalky off-white, soft sage or pale clay wall and the bird and cactus will sit forward more clearly.
How small is the bird in the composition?
The bunting sits in the lower third, on a stone beneath the cactus. There is a lot of empty cream paper above it. That is intentional in the Audubon plates and it is why the piece feels calm rather than busy — but it does mean a medium size works better than a very small one if you want the bird to read from across the room.
Does it work alongside more modern artwork?
Yes, as long as the neighbours are quiet. It sits well with soft line drawings, muted abstracts in cream and sage, and other vintage botanicals. Avoid placing it next to bold pop art or high-contrast graphic prints — those will flatten the soft hand-colouring.
