All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

• Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  
• We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  
• Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  
• Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

The figure is a chalky, slightly chalky cobalt — not navy, not royal blue, not purple. There are small passages where the gouache thins to a softer blue-grey, which is faithful to the 1952 original. On warm cream paper it reads as a clean, slightly dusty blue rather than a saturated electric one, so it pairs comfortably with oat, linen and oak rather than fighting them.

Both, depending on viewing distance. Up close you read the folded limbs and turned head; from across a room it resolves into one strong silhouette. The nudity is implied through Matisse's signature simplification — no anatomical detail, no skin tone, no shading — so it sits comfortably in shared living spaces rather than feeling explicit.

It holds a large wall solo, which is genuinely how it's designed to work. The cream negative space around the figure is part of the composition, so giving it 30cm or more of breathing room on either side actually strengthens the piece. Pair it only if you're building a small set of other Matisse cut-outs at similar scale — never crowd it.
