How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the soft blues hold up on a warm cream or off-white wall?
Yes — the lavender and sage in the print pick up on warm neutrals and stop the blues going cold. It's actually one of the best wall colours for this piece. Avoid hanging on deep navy or charcoal walls, where the softer tones will visually disappear.
Is the composition balanced, or does the dark pole on the left feel heavy?
The dark mooring pole on the left is a deliberate compositional anchor — it frames the view and pulls your eye toward the domes. It reads as intentional, not lopsided. Centre the print on the wall as you normally would; the visual weight settles naturally.
Does this work in a small room, or does it need a big wall?
It actually shines in smaller rooms — studies, guest bedrooms, narrow hallways. The loose brushwork rewards close viewing, so a wall you walk past daily or sit near is ideal. A medium size above a desk or chest of drawers is the sweet spot.
