How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Does the cream background look yellow or aged in person?
The background is a soft warm off-white, closer to old paper than bright white. It reads as gentle and antique against pale walls, and feels even warmer next to chalky cream or stone-coloured paint. On cooler bright-white walls it will look a little creamier by contrast, which is part of the heritage character of the plate.
Is the bird and flower detail still clear at a smaller size?
Yes. The yellow throat, the white hydrangea bloom and the dark green leaves all sit in the upper half of the print, so the focal points hold up well at medium sizes. If you want to read the small botanical script at the bottom edge, size up; if you just want the bird and flowers to carry the wall, a medium works nicely.
Will it feel out of place in a more modern room?
Not at all. The plate has a quiet cream background and only a few strong colours, so it sits well against plaster walls, pale timber and simple modern furniture. It softens sharper modern rooms and adds a layer of old-world character without pulling the whole scheme towards traditional.
