How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will this read as too pale on an off-white wall?
It's intentionally low-contrast, so it sits softly rather than shouting. On a chalky off-white wall, the warm brown ink still reads clearly from across the room, especially in daylight. If you want a sharper edge, a slim black frame lifts the small label type and gives the whole piece a museum-style outline.
What size works best above a standard bed or low dresser?
A medium portrait size is the sweet spot. Above a low dresser or single bed, aim for a width roughly two-thirds of the furniture below, hung at eye level. Above a double or king bed, go larger — the loose figure benefits from room to breathe, so don't crowd it with extra frames either side.
Does it work with warm woods like walnut, or only pale oak?
Both. The warm brown ink picks up the tone of walnut and dark woods, while the off-white ground keeps it light enough to sit happily over pale oak too. Linen, paper shades, stoneware and woven textures all work alongside it — avoid high-gloss black or chrome-heavy furniture, which can feel cold against this soft palette.
