How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the deep black background make my room feel smaller?
Not usually. The black is contained within the print, so it reads as depth rather than a dark wall. On a chalky off-white or warm neutral wall it actually adds focus, especially in a bedroom or hallway. If your walls are already very dark, choose a paler frame mount around it to give the image a clear edge.
Does this work in a room that isn't japandi or dark-academia?
Yes. The vintage Japanese feel sits happily in bohemian, traditional and transitional rooms too. It likes natural materials — rattan, linen, dark stained timber, stoneware — more than glossy or chrome-heavy interiors. As long as the surrounding palette isn't fighting the pink and green, it settles in well.
What size suits a small bedroom wall above a low bed?
A medium size is the sweet spot above a standard double or king bed, leaving a clear margin either side of the headboard. For a single bed or narrow console in a hallway, a small to medium size keeps the proportions calm. Avoid going so large that the blue stream at the base sits below furniture height.
