How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?
Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the mustard yellow background clash with a grey room?
It usually lifts one. Cool greys and blue-greys give the yellow something to push against, and the blue-grey dress ties back to grey upholstery. Keep the surrounding accessories quiet — cream, black and wood — and the yellow reads warm rather than loud. On a warm yellow or gold wall it has far less impact.
Does it need to be large to work?
No. A medium size, where the face sits close to life-size, is the sweet spot. Go too big and the flat yellow background starts to dominate a small room; go too small and the dark outlines lose their punch. Leave clear wall on either side rather than sizing up.
Can I hang it with other portraits?
It's better as the only face in a group. Two or three sets of eyes on one wall gets busy fast. Pair it instead with simple line work, a quiet abstract or a still life in mustard, cream or navy, and keep this piece as the largest and most central.
