How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?
Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
How big are the figures in the frame — will they read from across a room?
The figures sit along the bottom third and are small relative to the whole frame. From across a room they read as a soft band of warm colour rather than individual faces. Up close, you can see the loose brushwork and small details. That's the intended effect — quiet from far, more interesting close up.
Will this look too empty on a large wall?
It can if you go too small. The composition relies on negative space, so on a wide wall you want a medium or larger size with reasonable margins either side rather than a small print floating alone. Above a console or low sideboard at medium size is the safest fit.
Does it work in a room with other patterned prints?
Not really. The piece needs quiet around it. Hung next to busy florals, bold geometrics or strong graphic work, the soft figures get lost. It pairs best with other restrained pieces — line drawings, small abstracts, or simply a bare wall on either side.
