How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the orange seal mark part of the design or a printing flaw?
The two orange cartouches are part of the original woodblock — one carries the series title in Japanese characters, the other is Hiroshige's signature seal. They sit by design and add a small, deliberate flash of warm red against all the green and blue, so the image feels balanced rather than purely cool.
Will the green dominate a room that already has a lot of plants?
The green here is a soft, slightly grey-toned green rather than a fresh leafy one, so it sits behind houseplants rather than competing with them. If anything, it pulls a plant-heavy corner together. Keep the wall colour pale — off-white, oat or warm stone — and the green will read as calm rather than busy.
Does the vertical shape suit a wall above a sofa?
On its own, a tall portrait above a wide sofa can look a touch lonely. It works better above a console, a reading chair, in a hallway or beside a doorway where the height has somewhere to go. If you want it above a sofa, pair it with one or two quieter pieces of similar height to share the wall.
