How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
How dark does the blue background actually read on the wall?
It reads as a deep, slightly dusty blue rather than a flat navy — closer to a cloudy evening sky. On a pale wall it feels grounded and painterly. On a dark wall it softens and the white wings step forward, which is part of why the piece works so well in calm bedrooms and studies.
Will it look out of place in a more modern room?
It can sit happily in a modern room as long as the room has some warmth — natural wood, linen, stone or a painted wall. In an all-white, very minimal space it can feel a touch serious, so consider pairing it with one or two softer pieces to bridge the styles.
Does the second, smaller bird at the top read clearly at distance?
Yes. The upper tern is positioned high in the composition and angled downward, so even from across a room it reads as a second bird diving toward the larger one. From closer up you also see the fine engraved detail in its plumage and tail feathers.
