    How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    What makes Fab frames so good?

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Is the deep blue river too dark for an otherwise pastel room?

    No — the dark blue is contained to a few river bands across the middle of the piece, so it reads as an accent rather than a weight. In a soft pastel room it gives the eye somewhere to rest and stops the rest of the palette feeling washed out. If anything, it makes the pinks and gold sit more confidently.

    Will the detail still read from across a bedroom?

    The big shapes — mountains, willow, the band of cranes, the river — read clearly from across a room. The smaller blossom and pattern detail rewards a closer look, which is part of why it works above a bed or console where people sit nearby. A medium size around 50–60cm square is the sweet spot.

    Does this work in a nursery that the child will grow into?

    Yes. There's nothing cartoonish or specifically baby-coded about it, so it doesn't date as the child gets older. The pastel palette suits a nursery now, and the Japanese landscape detail keeps it interesting through the teen years. Many buyers move it into a hallway or guest room later rather than retiring it.
