How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the mustard-green background clash with cool grey walls?
It can. The background is warm and quite saturated, and cool greys tend to fight it rather than support it. The portrait sits best on chalky off-white, deep cream, warm clay, or even a darker olive or inky blue wall. If your scheme is firmly cool-toned, this one will feel out of place.
Is the gaze direct enough to feel intense in a small room?
Yes. Roulin looks straight out, and at close range the blue eyes hold attention. That's why it suits studies, hallways and reading corners more than bedrooms. If you want art that fades quietly into a small room, this isn't it — it's meant to be looked at and looked back at.
What size works best for a narrow hallway?
A medium portrait orientation sits well above a console or halfway down a hallway wall. Too small and the face stops reading from a few steps away; too large and the proportions feel pushed in a tight corridor. Aim for a print roughly the width of the console below it, hung at eye level.
