How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the soft cream ground look dingy on a white wall?
It reads as a warm aged paper tone rather than dirty cream, so it sits comfortably on both bright white and off-white walls. On chalky off-white plaster or deep green walls the cream and blue-grey come forward more, which is usually what people want from a vintage natural history piece.
Is the composition strong enough to hang on its own?
Yes. The two pigeons sit roughly in the centre and the foliage frames them, so the piece holds a wall by itself at medium to large size. It also works as the hero of a small Audubon or botanical cluster, with quieter plates around it.
Does it suit a modern interior or only traditional rooms?
It leans traditional, English-country and dark-academia, but the muted greens and soft cream also sit well in organic-modern rooms with dark wood, linen and stoneware. Avoid pairing it with neon brights or high-gloss modern abstracts, which fight the painterly vintage feel.
