How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the busy pattern overwhelm a small room?
It can if the rest of the room is already patterned, but in a small space with plain walls and simple linen or oak around it, the piece actually anchors the room rather than crowding it. The cream ground keeps it from feeling heavy. Treat it as the one busy thing on that wall.
Does the poster lettering read clearly from across the room?
Yes — the 'William Morris' headline and 'South Kensington' lines are set in clean black type against the cream border, so they hold up from a few metres away. Closer in, the smaller exhibition dates and opening hours become readable. It works as both a graphic anchor and a piece you can step up to and explore.
Is this better hung portrait above a sideboard or in a hallway?
Both work well. Above a sideboard it acts as a feature, with the tree trunk lining up nicely with the centre of the furniture. In a hallway it gives you something to walk towards. Bedrooms above the headboard also suit it, as long as the bedding stays fairly plain.
