    How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    What makes Fab frames so good?

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Will the scribbles still read as a golden retriever from across the room?

    Yes. The head and muzzle are drawn with the heaviest ink, so the shape settles quickly at normal viewing distance, around one and a half to three metres. Up close you see the loose loops; step back and the standing dog is clear. Keeping the surrounding wall plain helps the outline hold together.

    Does it work in a colourful room, or does it need white walls?

    It works on most light or mid-tone walls, including soft grey, greige and warm off-white. On very dark walls the white background can look like a bright gap, so a frame in a colour that relates to the wall helps. Against strong patterned wallpaper the lines get lost, so give it a plainer stretch of wall.

    Is the portrait shape right above a sofa or is it better elsewhere?

    It suits vertical walls best: hallways, the space beside a doorway, behind a desk, or above a console or chest of drawers. Above a wide sofa a single portrait piece can look small on its own, so either size up or pair it with one companion line drawing to widen the group.
