    With a scribbled dog portrait, scale decides whether the hallway wakes up. Go too small and all that loose pen work turns into a smudge; give it room and the lines resolve into a real, slightly cheeky dog. Hung on a plain off-white wall it does the job of a graphic piece without the coldness — the white ground keeps the space open while the black lines add a sharp full stop.     How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Will the scribbly lines still look like a dog from across the room?
    Yes, but scale matters. At a medium size the loops read clearly as a standing cockapoo from a couple of metres back. Very small sizes make the pen work merge into a dark shape, so if you're hanging it at the end of a long hallway or above a sofa, size up rather than down.

    Is it specifically a cockapoo, or could it pass for another curly breed?
    The shaggy coat, drop ears and squarer muzzle read as a cockapoo, but the loose drawing style means it also works nicely for cavapoos, labradoodles and other curly-coated crossbreeds. Nothing about the markings ties it to one colour of dog, so it suits apricot, black and merle owners alike.

    Does it work in a room that already has a lot going on?
    It's a busy drawing, so it needs some calm around it. On a plain painted wall with a little clear space either side it looks deliberate and graphic. Against patterned wallpaper or right next to other pictures, the lines start to blur into the background and lose their shape.
