    How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    What makes Fab frames so good?

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Does the centre seam show in the print?

    Yes — the faint vertical line down the middle is part of the artwork. The original is a two-panel folding screen, and that seam is kept in to honour the format. Most people stop noticing it within a day; it reads as part of the patina rather than a fault.

    Will the gold background look heavy in a small room?

    It actually does the opposite. The gold is weathered and warm, not shiny, so it behaves more like a deep neutral than a metallic. In smaller rooms — especially hallways, downstairs loos and snug bedrooms — it warms the walls under lamp light and makes the space feel considered rather than cramped.

    Is it better hung in portrait above a bed or in a narrow hallway?

    Both work, for different reasons. Above a bed it acts as a quiet anchor you see lying down — the cranes' eye-line sits naturally above the headboard. In a hallway it draws you toward the end of the room and rewards the closer look you get walking past. Avoid bright overhead lighting in either spot.
