    Om detta konstverk

Most hallways have nothing that goes up. Furniture stops at hip height, the wall above it sits empty, and the eye has nowhere to travel. A tall column of Hokusai's pines fixes that. Hung on the narrow wall at the end of a corridor, the black trunks pull the gaze upward and the ceiling feels a foot higher. Off-white paper against a chalky white wall keeps it quiet. Pale ash floorboards and a linen runner below, nothing else on that wall. It also earns the slot between two windows in a bedroom, where colour would fight the daylight and black simply holds. Keep it big. Below a metre tall the trees turn into a botanical chart. On canvas the black dries matt and the piece sits flush to the wall without glass.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the off-white background look dirty against a bright white wall?

It reads as warm rather than dirty. The ground is a soft paper tone, close to the colour of undyed linen, so against a brilliant white wall you see a gentle step down in brightness. On a chalky or warm white wall it almost disappears and the black trunks appear to sit straight on the plaster. Cool grey walls make the paper look warmer still.

How large does it need to be for the detail to show?

The small handwritten labels and the finest pine needles start to read at around 90cm tall. At that height a person walking down a hallway can pick out each tree. Smaller sizes still work as an upright accent on a desk wall or beside a door, but the drawing becomes a silhouette rather than a study.

Is black ink too stark for a bedroom?

Not when the rest of the room stays soft. The black takes up a small share of the sheet and most of it is pale paper, so the overall effect is light. Pair it with oat linen bedding, pale wood and warm grey or white walls and it feels calm. Keep other black objects, like metal lamps or frames, to one or two so the trees stay the focus.
