How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the poster include the BAUHAUS, Ausstellung and 1919 text?

Yes. The word BAUHAUS sits across the top in spaced capitals, with 'Ausstellung' bottom-left and '1919' bottom-right, both in a clean serif. The text is part of the design, not removable, and prints in the same deep near-black as the central motif.

Will the heavy black shape feel too dominant in a small room?

It's bold but balanced. The warm cream takes up most of the surface, so the black reads as one strong anchor rather than a dark mass. In a small study or hallway it gives the wall focus without closing the room in, especially with off-white walls and pale timber.

Does it work on its own or do I need to pair it?

It's strong enough to stand alone above a desk, console or low sideboard. If you do want a pair, keep the partner equally graphic and in the same black-and-cream family — another Bauhaus-style poster or simple typography piece. Avoid mixing in florals or watercolours; they'll fight the hard edges.
