About This Art

First glance: soft grey. Second glance: the figure doing something smarter. The shapes break apart and overlap, so the longer you look the more the woman emerges — a head turned, a curve of shoulder, a sweep of hair.

Put it up and the wall settles. The room reads quieter and more considered, the kind of grown-up calm that doesn't shout for attention but holds it once you notice.

It works best on a pale wall — chalky off-white, soft stone, warm plaster — where the deep blacks and crisp whites can do the contrast work.

Pair it with bouclé seating, pale oak, linen curtains, a single stoneware vase. Black hardware or matte steel keeps the edges clean.

Don't drown it in pattern. Busy florals, heavy colour, or a gallery of competing portraits will fight it. Give it room to breathe and it earns its keep. Printed on heavyweight fine-art paper with a soft matte finish.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the figure clearly a woman, or does it read fully abstract?

Both, depending on how long you look. At a glance it reads as overlapping shapes; settle into it and a turned head, shoulder and sweep of hair emerge. That slow reveal is the point — it doesn't shout figurative, but it isn't purely geometric either.

Will it look too stark on a bright white wall?

It can. The deep blacks read very hard against pure brilliant white. It looks best on a softer wall — chalky off-white, warm plaster, soft stone or pale greige — where the contrast still pops but the overall feel stays calm rather than clinical.

Does it work better solo or as part of a pair?

Solo is its natural home — the negative space around the figure is part of the composition. If you want a pair, hang it with one quieter monochrome abstract of similar scale, and leave generous space between them so neither piece feels crowded.
