It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Not usually. Because it is only greys and white, it acts as a pause between stronger colours rather than fighting them. If your walls are deep or patterned, hang it on the quietest stretch and keep the frame simple black so the drawing keeps its edges against the background.

The curls and fine shading read best from about one to two and a half metres, which is why it suits bedrooms, hallways and reading corners rather than a big open living area. At a distance it still holds as a soft grey shape, but you lose the pencil work that makes it worth having.

Yes, as long as the partner is also quiet — another pencil study, a line drawing or a plain black-and-white photograph. Match the size and keep the gap tight, around 5 to 8cm. Avoid pairing it with a bright or cartoon-style dog piece; the two treatments pull against each other.
