About This Art

Some coastal prints match a room. This one resets its pecking order. The sky blue ground is the loudest thing on the wall, but in a quiet, breezy way — and the room follows it.

What changes when it goes up: walls feel calmer, the room loosens, and any natural texture nearby looks intentional rather than accidental. It's the kind of art that makes a small space feel like it has air in it.

Where to hang it: above a bathtub, above a bed, in a hallway, or in a small entryway where you want a moment of calm. North-facing rooms suit it especially well.

What to pair with it: pale oak, rattan, linen, white-painted timber, and brushed brass or chrome fittings.

What not to do: don't crowd it with busy patterns or strong contrast art — it needs breathing room. Printed on premium fine-art paper.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the print look very blue, or more washed out?

The blue is soft and chalky rather than bright or saturated — closer to a pale sky than a strong cobalt. It reads as calm and airy on the wall, not bold. If you're hoping for a deep, statement blue, this won't deliver that — it's deliberately understated.

Will it work in a small bathroom with limited wall space?

Yes — it's one of the better rooms for it. The soft blue lifts a small bathroom without crowding it, and the minimal composition reads cleanly even at smaller sizes. Hang it above the bath, basin or loo, leave a bit of breathing room, and keep nearby surfaces uncluttered.

Are the dark marks through the white waves part of the artwork?

Yes — they're intentional hand-painted accents that thread through the foam of each wave. They give the brushwork weight and stop the piece reading as purely decorative. Up close they look like small ink lines; from a distance they read as shadow and movement in the water.
