How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the pink on the male bird's chest read as too bright in a calm room?
No. The rose-pink is a small, concentrated mark against a large cream background, so it acts as a quiet focal point rather than a loud colour block. In a calm room with sage, cream or warm brown tones, it lifts the wall without taking over, and it pairs especially well with aged brass or terracotta accents.
Does this work as a single piece, or does it need other bird prints around it?
It works both ways. Solo above a writing desk, console or reading chair, it reads as a quiet scholarly focal point. In a cluster of three or four vintage botanical or bird plates in matching frames, it sits comfortably as a mid-weight supporting piece rather than the loudest thing on the wall.
Is the detailed Victorian illustration style too busy for a small room?
Most of the page is soft cream paper, so the actual detail is concentrated around the birds and hemlock branch. In a small study, hallway or quiet kitchen the cream margins give the eye room to rest, and the piece feels calm rather than crowded. Hang at eye level and leave a little breathing space around the frame.
