How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?
Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the bright pink and orange feel too loud in a small kitchen?
In a small kitchen with cream or warm white walls, it actually works in your favour — one bright piece lifts the whole room. Trouble starts if the surrounding cabinets, tiles and textiles are already bright. Keep nearby surfaces quiet and the print becomes the focal point rather than another shouting voice.
Is the brushwork really thick, or is that a print effect?
The brushwork is genuinely loose and painterly in the original — you can see the marks of the brush, the stripes wobble, and the paint reads as built up in layers. The print reproduces that texture faithfully on paper or canvas, but it's a flat surface, not a raised impasto finish.
Does it work in a room that isn't near the sea?
Yes. The subject is umbrellas and stripes more than a literal beach — there's no sand, no sea, no horizon line. It reads as a bright summer scene that suits any sunny room: a city flat kitchen, a north-London hallway, a sunroom in the Midlands. You don't need a coastal address.
