How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the orange awnings clash with a warm-toned kitchen?
Not usually. The orange in the print is warm but balanced against a lot of off-white, soft pink and green, so it reads as a single warm note rather than a block of colour. It tends to sit well with pale oak, terracotta tile and cream linen. It will fight a kitchen built around deep red or strong rust tones.
Can you tell it's Tokyo, or could it read as any Asian city?
The Skytree in the background is the giveaway, along with the lantern-style signage down the lane. If you've been, you'll recognise it. If you haven't, it still reads clearly as Tokyo or Japan rather than a generic city scene — the architecture and signage cues are specific enough.
Is it busy enough to overwhelm a small hallway?
There's a lot going on in the image, but the off-white sky and the central path through the market give the eye somewhere to rest. In a narrow hallway, hang it as a single piece with plenty of wall around it rather than clustering it. Medium size works better than large in tight spaces.
