How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the background actually cream or closer to white?
It's a soft warm cream rather than bright white, with a slight aged tone from the original 19th-century plate. On a true white wall it will read as a gentle off-white shape; on a cream or putty wall it will sit very quietly and let the bird detail come forward.
Will the muted palette look washed out on a dark wall?
On deep sage, forest green or inky blue it actually works well — the pale ground glows against the dark, and the herons read crisply. It's bright cool greys and stark whites that flatten it; choose a warm or deep wall colour if you want it to feel grounded.
Does it work above a bed, or is the upright heron too tall?
It works above a bed if you have a reasonable amount of wall above the headboard — the stretched-up heron needs breathing room at the top. If your ceiling is low or the headboard is tall, hang it above a chest of drawers or in a hallway instead.
